Welcome to Judge Jack Tanner Park (formerly Marine Park), part of Metro Parks Tacoma. Puget Sound Energy and Metro Parks Tacoma have partnered to create some new caches in the vicinity and highlight their community parks. Please do not trample or scavenge around the landscaping as the cache is located within reach of the sidewalk. Please be stealthy when searching and grabbing. Return cache the way you found it.
Sunbathers, scuba divers, volleyball players and picnickers congregate here on the northwest end of Ruston Way. The park may be small but don’t let size fool you, with both recreation and entertainment, it offers more fun per square foot than any other beach. The park has also recently been designated as a swim, dive, and personal watercraft launch spot by Tacoma’s Metro Parks. Supplementing the beachfront opportunities, Les Davis Pier starts within the park boundaries offering fishing and crabbing and bench seating for anyone who wants to watch.
