"This is your Captain speaking. Please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for takeoff."
Origionally opened in 1931 as Milson Aerodrome, Palmerston North Airport is now New Zealand's 8th busiest airport.
A number of different aircraft types utalise the airport regularly. At the time of posting, the most common are Air New Zealand ATR and Q300's, Jetstar Q300's, and Massey University School of Aviation Diamond DA-40's and DA-42's.
GZ is a great place to watch the aircraft land and take off, particularly when the wind is an easterly. Check the Palmerston North Airport schedule for current arrival and departure times if this interests you. https://pnairport.co.nz/arrivals
