This trail is the former road on this side of the lake and you will see much evidence of the homes that were here over a 100 years ago. Nature is starting to reclaim the land and there are several trail washouts down this side of the lake. There is easy access trail head parking off Rix Hill Road off of Rt. 15A. Hemlock Lake is one of two of the finger lakes that are not now developed and serve as the water reservoirs to the Rochester area. The hide is a short way off the trail. The container starts with some swag and TB (from Germany) to be moved along.
