The cache is hidden on Sarushima, also called Monkey Island. Sarushima is the only natural island in Tokyo bay. The name comes from the following story:
In May 1253, when Nichiren Shonin was traveling to Kamakura from Boso, a storm hit. When there was no way of telling which way the ship was moving, out of nowhere a white monkey appeared. The monkey stood on the bow of the ship and guided the ship to the island.
Sarushima was once used as a military fort. There are many historical remains to visit. Pay attention to the fees and ferry times.
