A few of my friends have asked to learn more about geocaching. KirkS and I planned this event to help them learn the basics of geocaching and try out their skills at one of the geocaches in this park. Join us to make some new geocaching friends and help some newbies learn the basics of this fun pastime. Remember, we were all green once.
Schedule:
11:30-12:00 Meet, greet, and eat (Bring your own lunch)
12:00-1:00 Geocaching 101: Discuss basics of geocaching including how to be a responsible geocacher and how to use the geocaching app, smart phone, or GPS device. New geocachers will be asked to set up a geocaching account and to download the free app prior to the event, but we will be prepared to assist anyone who needs assistance.
