Jenn is new to Geocaching and works for the land trust. We have been working with her to set up 4 new caches in this area. The cache is placed along one of the trails of the North County Land Trust at the Crocker Conservation Area in Fitchburg, MA. The NCLT has been conserving, protecting and promoting the land, farms, forests and watersheds of North Central Massachusetts for 25 years. It was founded in 1992 by the Crocker family with the donation of 149 acres in Fitchburg at the end of Flat Rock Road and known as Crocker Conservation Area.
The trust and its volunteers work diligently maintaining trails, signs, and maps. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and dog walking are allowed trail uses.
Parking is available at the kiosk at the end of Flat Rock Road (follow Prospect Street left at fork that is Flat Rock Road). Trail maps are available at http://www.northcountylandtrust.org/_images/maps/CCA_Area.pdf Caches are placed with permission from the NCLT Special thanks to Jenn, Youth Education/Community Engagement Coordinator, NCLT, TerraCorps Americorps
The cache is near the intersection of Roey's Ramble and Big's Bushwack. Winter Friendly
