Geocache Description:

The Parsonage in Haworth, West Yorkshire, was home to the Bronte sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne and is where they wrote their famous novels.

The Parsonage was built between 1778 and 1779 and its moorland setting had a profound influence on the writing of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne.

The Parsonage is one of the oldest literary societies in the English speaking world and is listed Grade 1 on the National Heritage List for England.

The Parsonage was used as a location in the 1970 film The Railway Children where it featured as the home of Dr. Forest.
