This cache has been placed for the YYCCAR18 event, held May 25-27, 2018. It is hidden with the intent that it is not be found prior to 10:00pm on May 25, 2018. Caches for the YYCCAR18 event are published early so the Geocaching community can plan their search routes before the event starts.
During this adventure you will come across various terrain, but you never need to bushwhack at all. There is always a trail, even if very faint, that will lead you there. You never have to get close to the water. Use caution at all times and attempt at you own risk. Make sure you have all required tools with you before you leave.
All reflectors hang about 10 feet off the ground, with some of them only at 3 feet height on fence posts.
At the Starting Point shine your light around 360° and you should spot 3 reflectors in succession that will show you the direction to head. You should mostly spot the next reflector from the current reflector, if not follow the trail until you see the next reflector.
You will have to bring a UV light, that is required to "see" the final cordinates once you reached the end of the reflective trail marked by a really large marker with the recognizable Geocaching logo drawn onto it. From there, it is up to you to find the final treasure. There are a few trails leading there.
This adventure is a round trip of just under 2 km from the Starting Point. Plan to be out for at least 45 min, that is assuming everything works just fine for you.
Once you found the treasure, the shortest and fastest way back is up the hill following the trail.

As a gesture 'o jolly faith, each took wit' them a bag 'o personal treasure to be hidden along th' Elbow River. If any 'o the' five were to be killed, their treasure was to be divided between those who remained.
Each scurvy pirate hid his treasure 'n drew a map, showin' th' location. Thar were just five maps, 'o which each cap'n had one copy 'o each. Within a pair years 'o th' meeting, all five cap'n were in Davy Jones' treasure chest! Either killed in action or taken by th' authorities 'n executed.
Thar were many rumours 'bout th' meeting along th' Elbow River, but no one knew th' whereabouts 'o th' treasure or who held any 'o th' maps. Th' story was consigned to myth 'n legend.
In th' summer o' 2013 durin' th' flood this booty along wit' its map went missin' 'n now in th' sprin' o' 2018 reappeared again at higher grounds. Rumors 'ave it that it could be a new booty, 'cause 'twas discovered that thar be a new “map” t' find it. We shall prolly ne'er know th' full truth… Hidden ink was used t' mark down th' final location o' th' booty, which requires ye t' brin' one o' these fancy blue lights called UV light, thar be also a trail o' reflective yellow markers that can only be seen in th' dark wit' a modern candle called flashlight. Yer task be t' follow these signs 'til ye reach a mighty recognizable larger marker, where ye will find th' coordinates t' th' final location. Usin' yer UV light ye will get a set o' coordinates ye can punch into yer GPS’r/Smartphone 'n 'twill show ye where th' booty be hidden. Aft this ye will be on yer owns in th' dark, no more help.
