This is the first in a League of Gentlemen trail around beautiful Auchinloch - have some fun along the way as you hopefully enjoy this pretty village  that in no way associated with Royston Vasey 😂!
Where was Tubbs and Edward 60 years ago when the new road was built!? This cache celebrates Auchinloch’s old road that winds up the hill... it’s a local cache for local people - there’s nothing for you here! Jokes - all welcome but beware some nettles!
Although not used by transport any more the ‘old road’ is still used for walking and access to the Golf Course footpath. Run off water from the trees and overgrowth used to freeze on the old road making it treacherous for the old but magic for the young - on their way home from the primary school hours would be spent by kids sliding down the frozen over road on their school bags!
The cache is also metres from where a piggery (pig farm/ranch) stood - rumour has it they supplied meat to Hillary Briss and sons the butchers!Â
