Två musiker träffades en dag på Västerbron. Båda råkade ha sina instrument med sig. En hade en intressant sak vid namn Tutilur och den andra en mycket större Megabröl. Snart bestämde de sig för att spela tillsammans, en besynnerlig liten melodi, mest för Megabrölen. Det är viktigt att veta att både Tutilur och Megabröl var moderna instrument med modern intonation och stämning.

Megabrölen bullrade ut två toner som ekade över vattnet. Tutilurspelaren sa: "Ha! Subtrahera de två tonerna! Man får en sorts latitud! Men vi ska nog avrunda svaret till närmaste heltal!" |

Så Megabrölen fyllde torget med två ännu djupare toner. Fönster skallrade på Söder och ett par billarm gick igång borta i fjärran, men Tutilurspelaren vad uppspelt. "Ja! Subtrahera de tonera också! Vi börjar närma oss! Gör det här svaret till ett heltal också!" |

Ett par djupa toner till, och en hund började yla från någon närliggande gata. Herr Tutilur log brett. "Om du adderar tonerna den här gången så är vi på ett bra ställe. Kan du spela lite longitud också?" |

Megabrölen tog inte lång tid på sig utan basunerade ut flera, skälvande toner som gjorde några seismologer i Uppsala ängsliga. Tutilurspelaren viftade ivrigt med armarna. "Ja! Jaa! Subrahera tonerna!" |

Och så spelade Megabrölen två noter som knappt kunde höras av mänskliga öron. Borta i närheten av Slussen vände en rysk ubåt abrupt och gick mot Kaliningrad för full maskin. Tutiluraren gastade "Subtrahera dem! Ta hel... hmm, det borde väl redan vara ett heltal eller åtminstone väldigt nära..." |

Och till slut så basunerade Megabrölen ut en sista ton. Den andra musikern lyfte sin Tutilur som så här långt inte hade spelat en enda ton. "Låt os addera... den här!" Han spelade blott en ton. |
Sen log båda musikerna mot varandra och gick och satte sig på stället som de hade spelat.

Two musicians met one day on Västerbron (West Bridge). Both happened to have their instruments with them. One had a curious-looking thing called a Tutilur and the other a much larger Megabröl. They soon decided to play together, a peculiar little tune, mostly for the Megabröl. It's important to know that both Tutilur and Megabröl are modern instruments with modern temper and tuning.

The Megabröl blasted two notes, resonating around the square. Tutilur player said: "Hey, subtract those notes! You get a sort of latitude! But hey, let's round the answer to the nearest integer!" |

So the Megabröl filled the square with two even deeper notes. Windows rattled and a couple of car alarms went off in the distance, but the Tutilur player was excited. "Yes, subtract those notes too! We're getting closer! Make this answer an integer too!" |

Another couple of deepish notes, and a dog in a nearby street started howling. Mister Tutilur smiled widely. "If you add these notes this time, we're in a good place. Can you play us some longitude?" |

The Megabröl wasn't slow to respond with a salvo of deep, throbbing notes that caused some seismologists in Uppsala to get a bit worried. The Tutilur player waved his arms excitedly. "Yes! Yes! Subtract those notes!" |

And so the Megabröl played two notes that could barely be heard by human ears. Off near Slussen, a Russian submarine turned around and headed for Kaliningrad at top speed. The tutilurist shouted "Subtract them! Take the int... actually, that should already be an integer, right? Or very close..." |

And finally the Megabröl finished on a mere fortissimo. The other player raised his Tutilur that so far hadn't played a single note. "Let's add... this!" He played a single note. |
Then both players smiled at each other, and went away to have a seat at the place that they had played together.
