What makes Apokoronas so fascinating is the mixture of civilisations and cultures, which, while passing through it, left a particular trait :the Minoan mightiness, the Venetian refinement, the Byzantine spirituality, the Ottoman simplicity, the Neoclassical grandeur
 Here, you will experience lofty mountains, fertile valleys, plateaus, springs, rivers, caves, picturesque villages, Byzantine chapels, Venetian towers, ancient sites, endemic wildlife, unique traditions and cultural happenings
 as well as a plethora of exceptional beaches with crystal clear water



APE - Series (= Apokoronas Puzzle Exploration) is a mystery-series of jigsaw-puzzles which will lead you to special places in the western part of the Apokoronas area! Like in the Kokkino Codes or GPS - Series you will find different places of historical and cultural interest or just beautiful landscapes. If you solve the puzzle, you will get the final coords - and some background information about the respective sites.

The stashs are always hidden close by.

There are also numbers in each part which you might collect for the final Letterbox-BONUS-cache
