Well, not really time in a bottle, but rather a time capsule. Placed here in 1981, the time capsule commemorates the 350th anniversary of Poquoson. While the exact contents of the capsule not published (maybe it has clues to local buried pirate treasure), that makes it all the more interesting to be present when the capsule is opened in 2031.
In the interim, enjoy this cache and others hidden close by. This cache is small; you'll need to bring your own pen to sign the log.
There is plenty of parking nearby and the cache has been approved by the Poquoson Parks and Recreation staff. No bushwacking or even climbing required and easy access for most geocachers. DAY time cache only!!
Stealth is absolutely necessary to avoid the prying eyes of muggles and the pterodactyl sized mosquitoes circling above and guarding this cache!
