Geocache Description:


North by Northwest is a 1959 Alfred Hitchcock film starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, and James Mason. It is a tale of mistaken identity, with an innocent man pursued across the United States by agents of a mysterious organization trying to prevent him from blocking their plan to smuggle out microfilm that contains government secrets.

North by Northwest generated $9.8 million dollars at the box office worldwide, and is often listed as one of the greatest films of all time. It certainly laid the groundwork for countless action thrillers to follow.


The North by Northwest cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. However, it would be wise to go there to get the information you need for the final stage. The final location is less than 200 metres away.
Plenty of free parking is available near the posted coordinates on Chalfont Rd.

At the posted coordinates you will find a NORTH number and a WEST number.
Add the NORTH number to N 49° 51.505 and add the WEST number to W 97° 14.827, and you'll have the coordinates you'll need to find the nearby final.

This cache is family-friendly, but not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Poison plants, ticks and mosquitos may be present. The cache is available 24/7, but it is not recommended at night. There is lots of parking near the posted coordinates. Watch for deer. Public transportation is available.
