nan-d1955: Well, the college recently finished their extensive project on the southeast corner of the campus where I have C4K #4. That cache had to be disabled for a little while during work in that area.

Now, the college has decided to upgrade it's athletic fields on the north side of the campus and this cache is behind fencing. DO NOT SEEK this cache. I will keep my eye on the athletic field progress and get this one back in play just as soon as the work is done. At least it shouldn't take nearly as long as the work on the other part of campus.

In the meantime, there are other caches that you can find while waiting for this one to come out of hibernation. Thanks for your patience!

Geocache Description:

The 5th in the College 4 Kids (C4K) series, created in honor of the geocaching class taught each summer at St. Louis Community College-Meramec, used to be located here. SLAGA (St. Louis Area Geocachers Association) volunteers taught this week-long College for Kids course, lead by our dedicated geo-friend Walkingstic-stl, for several years. Our goal was to stimulate a life long enthusiasm for geocaching among the students who took the class. Nancy-Walkingstic-stl placed C4K #5 in August 2015, but has decided to archive it. Since many cachers have enjoyed the opportunity to grab a series of caches on the Meramec Campus, we decided to put out a new cache in its place.
Street parking is available nearby. The cache is placed with permission from the campus Building and Grounds Department.
