I was out MTBing around McLeans Island and decided to ride a loop track that I hadn't ridden in quite a while. Well", I thought, "as I have a spare container why not place it here on the loop?"
McLeans Island Forest gate is open between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm daily (closes 10:00 pm during daylight saving) and has a number of loop tracks. All MTB tracks have a hard packed gravel surface and some banked corners. They are all very pleasant and easy to ride.
The main MTB loop track is approx 10kms in length, and the 2km long River Loop track branches off it. Expect to ride at least 12km in visiting this geocache. Bring a picnic for afterwards - there is plenty of shade, many picnic tables and large open grassy areas adjacent to the car park.
Adjacent to the car park is a shop (daylight hours, variable) from which refreshments may be purchased and/or bikes hired.
The cache is a small bison hanging about 5m off the track. Please BYO pen.
