TheSterlingOne: This cache was a bonus cache to the 43 caches that was put out by DougyB to entice Kathy (K-Pom) to find geocaches along Highway 7 that were placed in her honour. As you can see on our list of finds, she was the first one to find this cache. mccabe97 and I received a very warm thank you message from Kathy for the cache.
Unfortunately, Kathy passed away suddenly this past April. As a result, mccabe97 and I have decided to go along with DougyB and also archive this cache.
For those who didn't know Kathy, she was always a very kind person whom mccabe97 and I had the absolute pleasure of geocaching with and also had the pleasure to call our friend. We will always miss her great smile and her warm nature. She always had an extra hug for us.
It was an honour to have this cache for Kathy. Now, we will archive it and open up this area for anyone who wants to hide a cache around here.
