🇺🇸 Tank ISU 152 ⚔️
The ISU-152 is a Soviet self-propelled gun which was used during World War II. It was unofficially nicknamed Zveroboy (eng. “Beastsslayer”). ISU-152 was used as mobile artillery to support infantry, and for destroying heavy tanks and fortified positions. In 1986 the dozen of “Beastsslayers” were redeployed into the Chernobyl Exclusion zone soon after the accident. Liquidators planed to use them for making a hole in the unit 4 wall. It was necessary to pomp out water from compartments under the destroyed reactor. This plan was canceled but several of this vehicles where used to demolish building by driving into them during the cleanup actions. And now one ISU-152 number 100 stays closely to the ChNPP. It is abandoned and partially dismantled reminding us about two different periods of straggle.

ІСУ 152 є радянською самохідною артилерійською установкою, яка використовувалась під час Другої світової війни. Її неофіційно прозвали Звіробій, та використовували для мобільної артилерійської підтримки піхоти, а також для знищення важких танків і укріплених позицій. У 1986 десяток Звіробоїв було направлено в Чорнобильську зону відчуження невдовзі після аварії. Ліквідатори планували стріляти з них, щоб пробити отвори в стінах 4 енергоблоку. Цей план був відхилено, проте декілька самохідок використовували для зносу будівель та очищення території. Дотепер одна з ІСУ-152, під номером 100 й досі залишається у тісному контакті з Чорнобилем. Його покинуто та частково розібрано на території ЧАЕС. Вона стала пам’яткою запеклої боротьби у двох різних періодах ХХ століття.
