Geocache Description:

I often taken this path between home and the high street and thought it would be a good place to hide a cache. The path was used by mill workers in the days when Caldwells paper mill lay at the bottom of the hill next to the harbour. The mill closed in 2003 and demolition began in 2010, with the chimneys being detonated in August 2012, but the path remains as a steep shortcut to Ballast Bank. The bench provides a great spot to catch your breath if you've ascended, or a great viewpoint whichever way you're headed.

The cache container has been replaced with a nano. I have transferred the names across to the new log. Please re-hide as found .

If you're into that kind of thing, a number of urban explorer-type websites show photographs taken inside the mill after closure.

Well done Madam Vastra being FTF, despite my dodgy coordinates!!
