Geocache Description:








Six wistful tears lost to the deep, a seventh stains a secret place.
One yearning heart e’er hers to keep, would that she change her coat for lace.


The selkies of Northern Isle folklore swim as seals but shed their skins on land. Shoremen who take these lovely maidens as wives know to hide their sealskins. For once a selkie finds her skin nothing can prevent her from returning to sea.

In such a place as this will you find the lovelorn calling to their selkies by shedding seven tears in the water. To find the missing tear, look to the golden mean of the nautilus shell by making your way about halfway to the end, then halfway again, keeping to the seaside. Cache placed with permission.
