Crocus Prairie - SCAR2018 Traditional Cache
Crocus Prairie - SCAR2018
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The area of Petturson's Ravine and Crocus Prairie is an environmental success story. Restored after many years of pollution and abuse, this area features a unique bog. The trail head for the Crocus Prairies Trail begins here and meanders along the top of the riverbank to wards Sutherland Beach. This is the best place in Saskatoon to find crocuses. Crocuses are also called Pasque Flowers, April Fools, or Ears of The Earth. They may be found shortly after the snow melts, usually around mid April. Blooms only last for two weeks, so the window to see them is small. This cache has been placed for the SCAR2018 event and is not to be found prior to 5:30 pm, Friday, May 25, 2018.
