JRT Jonesville takes a Stand Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Allenite's Mom: This cache seemed to grow more difficult to find, perhaps just the tree growing it was attached to so I have decided to archive it and place another cache nearby.

Geocache Description:

Jonesville was the first county seat. And they tried hard to keep it that way. Jonesville had even at one time got behind a notion that it should be moved to Osseo which was more accurately at the center of the county, Osseo worked toward that effort until it was found or at least felt that Jonesville’s efforts had been meant to divert attentions hoping that the county seat would end up remaining in Jonesville when Osseo joined the effort to move it to Hillsdale. On January 30, 1843 a law was passed that moved the county seat to Hillsdale where it remains.

Hope you enjoy your caching experience as well as learning a bit of Jonesville.  Please respect the area and enjoy what Jonesville offers.  There is close by parking available for the trail.
