On 30 April 2018 Vader&zoon (the Netherlands) held their Event on the square right in front of the Roman Theater. As a reminder of this nice little Event and the beauty of the well preserved Roman Theater, we have left a cache here. The theater was built by the Romans during the reign of Antonius Pius (138-161 AD) and could seat about 6,000 people. It was built into the hillside and was oriented north to keep the sun off the spectators.
At this point the big capital of Amman only has 6 geocaches, so we are happy to add one for local and visiting geocachers. We have a local cacher who will maintain this cache for us (for which we are grateful!), so if anything is wrong, just let us know.
