To have empathy is to experience the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another. But to be M-Pathy is to experience the feeling of walking, jogging, or riding bike through the M-Path, a paved multi-use trail built atop a portion of Henry Flagler's fabled Florida East Coast Railway. The M-Path generally follows U.S. 1, and near Dadeland South Metrorail station it continues south as the South Dade Trail all the way to Florida City, forming a 31-mile long corridor altogether. M-Pathy, which was my very first hide and the original version of this cache, was hidden right in this same spot. It was archived in 2015 because of news that the M-Path trail would soon be supplanted by a 10-mile linear park called The Underline. (Source: https://www.theunderline.org/) However, with The Underline project proceeding very slowly in phases, the opportunity to be M-Pathy and earn a smiley remains intact for the foreseeable future. And so we have... M-Pathy Redux!
The cache is a nano with log only. Bring your own pen or pencil. There can be very high mugglocity, so use stealth. Please replace the cache as found. There is free parking near Ground Zero. However, it is recommended that you arrive at GZ walking, jogging, or riding bike and enjoying the M-Path itself. That way, you're sure to be as M-Pathy as possible!
