Welcome to Moreau State Park, which is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year! With our challenge caches, we have highlighted some of the more historical parts of the park so be sure to read the write ups below.
This is a two part multi.
The Blue Trail is used for Cross Country skiing for beginners during the winter. It makes for a nice loop hike. You can park at the Park Entrance N 43 13.608 W 073 42.500 … but if do you not wish to pay, use the posted parking coordinate. Watch carefully for the trail markers – you can easily miss them.
From the Rt 9 parking check out the wells, then head to the Blue Trail (coordinates listed) follow this around in a clockwise direction to the IP. If you have parked in the Morea lot, the Blue Trail begins across the road by the sign. Follow the Blue trail in a counter clockwise direction to the IP.
There are 2 interesting wells located just off the trail. N 43 13.302 W 073 42.463 and at N 43 13.289 W 073 42.492
