Placed during our 2016 JOTT (Jamboree on The Trail) hike. Our Venturer's hike the 8km section of the East Coast Trail known as Father Troy's Trail from Torbay to Flatrock (The Beamer).
JOTT is an annual hike whereby Scout groups from all over the world take part in a hike on the same day, typically a Saturday in early May. This year we had just a couple of our Venturer Scouts participate but many of our other Scouting sections were on the trails in other locations.
This cache is located just a few meters down a short cut that bypasses Whale Cove, I suggest that if you want to enjoy the beauty of the trail and its views that you grab this cache and backtrack so that you can take the path that brings you to Whale Cove. Both paths end up in the same place at Church Cove.
Cache is 500ml container hanging in a winter friendly manner. At the time of placement there was a TB placed in the cache.
