While she was loved and respected year round by the town’s residents, there was that one night of the year, when Grandma Mac was the most popular person in the entire township. That night was Halloween.
You see, back in the “good old days”, kids went trick or treating on Halloween night, after dark. And the treats they got were not only safe, most of them were homemade. Popcorn balls, sweets, brownies,…mmmmm……
But if you were a kid back then, out of all the houses on your route that night, the one house you absolutely did not want to miss, was the home of Grandma Mac. Why? Because Grandma Mac was famous for giving out two things for all the little costumed ghosts, ghouls, hobos and princesses that knocked on her door. Each kid was given one of the most delicious, fresh baked, cookies that you will ever eat, plus a shiny new nickel (which back in those days was a lot of money to a kid!).
To this day, if you mention the name “Grandma Mac” to those old enough to remember her, you will see a smile spread across their face, and they will most likely tell you about the “cookie and a nickel” treat they got from her.
You are looking for a bison tube, attached to a “very appropriately themed” host.
