South Bar lake is surrounded by private property. I was able to gain permission to place water accessible only caches on the north end of the lake. I figure it is approximatley one mile from the public access to the north end. Cache was placed from my kayak so there is no need to exit your boat. An SUP or canoe may work but it is very shallow at GZ. (No motors). Any attempt to access cache by land will be trespassing, you will get wet and we may lose the cache. So, PLEASE DON'T!
Parking is available at the Empire Beach Park. Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. there is a $1.00 per hour parking fee.
Cache is a camo'd match stick container (BYOP) that should be easy enough to spot. The difficulty rating isn't just the hide but includes the effort to get to the cache.
