I have heard of this but never believed it could be. Skeeters large enough to carry off Lions, Tigers and even Bears. There like the legendary Bigfoot. So many sightings, but never actual pictures documenting this mythical character.
Until now...
The Aurora Chasers were out capturing the beautiful Aurora Borealis in Knotty Town Alaska one evening when all of a sudden a buzzing noise was heard. Was told it was like a Buzzzz ZZZZ zzzzz ZZzz Zzzzzzz ZZZZZ and was similar to the sound of the local Culicidae Mosquitocus. One landed right in front of their shot. Appears they have the ability to morph themselves, and anything around them, into a wood type substance when being looked upon. No one has ever seen one actually flying. With what I saw, it's from the Skeetercus McHugeicus family.
This is why I will be spending time in the area seeking one that isn't aware of my presence. And since Knotty Towns came to be in 1988 no one has seen this elusive creature. You can see the remains of the one Aurora Chasers caught a picture of and seems they are covered in some kind of odd growth, a burl if you will. I must get visual proof of one and need your help. Take some pictures if you see one in the area and I will get it analyzed. And most of all be careful. If you are lucky enough to see one in flight, it may be too late and it will bite you.

The FTF geocacher will find in the cache 2 tokens for what I think is an anti-toxin to the Skeetercus McHugeicus, a special cold cream that sometimes keeps them at a distance. Good Luck!
Cache contains small figurines of Lions, Tigers and Bears. Keep cache theme uniform by trading and dropping off animal figurines.
Cache has approval by property owners
and welcomes a visit inside to say Hello. Cache On!
Thank you to The Aurora Chasers for allowing me to use
