La chiesa parrocchiale di San Michele Arcangelo sorge quasi ai piedi della torre, sull’area dove esisteva la vecchia chiesa. L’attuale facciata della chiesa risale sostanzialmente all’anno 1936. Realizzata nelle attuali forme su progetto dell’ing. Tancredi Aluffi, che nell’occasione provvide anche alla sistemazione della torre campanaria, non subì altri interventi se non quello che portò alla realizzazione del mosaico sopra alla porta d’ingresso, rappresentante S. MICHELE che uccide Satana, qui sotto forma di drago. Il rifacimento relativamente recente della facciata trae origine dal fatto che l’antica Chiesa fu radicalmente trasformata a partire dall’anno 1810. Il progetto dell’ arch. Astrua prevedeva interventi su diverse parti della chiesa, tra i quali la costruzione della sacrestia, del coro e del presbiterio, inaugurato nel 1811. I lavori finirono nel 1817. La Parrocchiale venne radicalmente trasformata: ad esempio si ribaltò l'orientamento tradizionale antico, che prevedeva l’altare rivolto ad Est. A completamento dell’intervento venne sistemato l’accesso pedonale dal paese attraverso l’attuale percorso dotato di una scenografica scalinata in pietra.

Nel 1990 il comune provvede a sostituire il vecchio orologio a contrappesi di sua proprietà con un moderno orologio elettronico. Esso è dotato di un sistema automatico di suoneria delle ore e dei segnali relativi alle sacre funzioni. Pertanto il segnale del mezzogiorno, come le due tradizionali Ave-Maria, viene lanciato non più da un semplice e ritmico tin-ton ma da un brano sonoro armonioso, gradito (più o meno) alle orecchie dei parellesi e sgradito a quelle dei cani, che accompagnano il motivetto con guaiti di sofferenza.

The parish church of San Michele Arcangelo rises close to the base of the tower, on the same area where the old church was built. The current facade of the parish church of Michele Arcangelo in Parella is dated 1936 and it was completed in the existing form on the design of engineer Tancredi Aluffi, that for the occasion also fixed the bell tower. The church didn't suffer other interventions except for the one that led to the main mosaic realisation, located above the front door and depicting S. Michele killing Satan, here a dragon.

The relatively recent restoration of the facade occurred because the old church was radically transformed from 1810. The Arch. Astrua’s plan provided different interventions as the vestry, chorus and presbytery construction, opened in 1811. The renovation was completed in 1817. On that occasion a radical transformation of the parish building occurs, with the overthrow of the ancient traditional orientation, which envisaged the altar facing East. As a follow-up of the intervention, the town pedestrian access was settled across the current path, equipped with a scenic stone staircase.

In 1990 the municipality replaced the old counter weighted clock with a modern electronic clock, equipping it with an automatic alarm system for the hourly bell struck and for Mass-related signals. So that the daily noon sound, as well as the two traditional Ave-Maria, is not emitted anymore as a simple, rhythmic ding-dong, but as a complex harmonious tune, appreciated (more or less) by residents and unwelcomed from dogs, that accompany this jingle howling in perfect misery.

L’église paroissiale de Saint Michel archange s’érige presque au pied de la tour, près de l’endroit où la vieille église se trouvait. L’actuelle façade de l’église date de 1936. Réalisée par l’ingénieur Tancredi Aluffi, qui par ailleur s’occupa aussi d’arranger le clocher, elle n’a subi aucune autre intervention mis à part la création du mosaïque positionné au dessus de l’entrée principale qui représente Saint Michel qui tue Satan, ici un dragon. La rénovation récente de la façade est due au fait que l’église ancienne a été entièrement refaite à partir du 1810. Le projet de l’architecte Astrua prévoyait l'aménagement différentes parties dont la construction de la sacristie, du choeur et du presbytère inaugurés en 1811. Les travaux furent terminés en 1817. La paroisse fut complètement transformée avec, par exemple, le changement de l’orientation traditionnelle ancienne qui prévoyait l’autel orienté vers l’Est. Pour finir il fut aménagé l’accès piéton par le village avec ses imposantes et suggestives marches en pierre.

En 1990 la mairie procède à remplacer l’ancien horloge avec contrepoids avec un bien plus moderne horloge électronique. Celui ci a aussi un mécanisme automatique de sonnerie des heures et des services religieux. Le signal du midi, tout comme celui des Ave Maria, ne se compose plus d’un simple ding dong mais il est devenu une vraie mélodie (plus ou moins) appréciée par le habitants et pas trop par les chiens qui habitent le coin, qui l’accompagnent avec leurs aboiements.
