This cache is placed near the start of the trail which enters Macutchan Town Forest from behind the iRide bike shop near Stowe village. The 60-acre forest is connected with the much larger Cady Hill Forest.
On October 30 2017, a ferocious microburst blew through the area, flattening pines and scattering debris over the forest floor. The trails in the town forest and Cady Hill were all declared off-limits through the winter and spring. They have finally reopened. I'd had a cache near this one (GC3FRKP) which I'd archived after the windstorm. I was able to find the old container last week, totally undisturbed by the storm. It's a little tougher to get to, now, with debris in the forest to be hopped over, so I decided on a new and different hide.
The cache is a small round micro not far from the trail. Please rehide as found so that it's not visible from the trail.
