The Strawberries and Cream Tree on Rodney Road is a very unusual tree indeed- on one side, it blossoms bright white, and on the other, bright red. It's one tree, with two completely different colours! Unfortunately, the blossom is only visible for a few weeks in early spring- for the rest of the year, it’s dormant.
This hidden gem of a tree is literally right behind my house! Although I've spotted it and it's unusual blossom in the years of living here, I wasn't aware of quite how rare and important this tree is, until the sign was put up in early 2019. The nickname was given by children of the village.

Apologies for such an uninteresting final location- it's one of few available spots that wouldn't be a ridiculous distance away! Of course, it's the first stage that's meant to be the interesting one.
