Field Puzzle Challenge (30) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

JustFindingOurWay: I love challenges. I put in this series of challenges in place partly to introduce people, including inexperienced cachers, to challenges.

Unfortunately, I'm seeing a pattern that while technically meeting the "letter of the law," is subverting the ethos of geocaching. A notable subgroup of experienced cachers are coming through, signing the logs and posting notes to the effect that they need to "check their stats" before claiming the find. (The Variety SERIES takes about 10 seconds to determine which ones a person is qualified for.) The part that I find offensive, and the reason I'm deleting nearly 2/3 of this series, is that too many people wait until they have a blank hole in their calendar before "discovering" they're qualified - dribbling out their "finds" one by one to fill their calendar. It might fit the letter of the law, but it certainly doesn't match with the intent. If I continue to observe qualified finders "banking" for a rainy day, I'll remove the rest of the series as well.

The container has been removed and the log is on file.

Geocache Description:

Challenges - some people love them, other people hate them. Some of these reflect a lot of effort, others are easy since we all had to start somewhere. This cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates. It’s a simple offset – 127 feet at 000 degrees true. There is a special logging requirement. You’re welcome to sign it and post a note at any time, but you cannot claim a find unless you qualify. The D/T is based on the challenge. The hide is 1.5/1.5. Ink, TOTTs, and long sleeves highly recommended.

Field Puzzles aren’t always obvious in the cache description if you don’t pay any attention to cache attributes, but they make themselves known when you find the cache. Personally, I love building them as much as doing them.

The Challenge

You must have already found 30 caches with the Field Puzzle attribute.

This cache is on Arizona State Trust Land. Geocachers must purchase an annual recreation permit available on the Arizona State Land Department website.

Please include the "pass" statement from the Project Geocaching Checker in your log entry.

PGC Checker

At the time that I created this challenge, I had found 48 field puzzle caches located in three countries.
