This cache is part of the unofficial Bald Eagle series which encompasses the lake. There is parking available across the street from this cache location. Be sure to use the crosswalk and look for traffic as you head to the geocache location. Although it is a law that the pedestrian has the right of way on a roadway, it is still important that walker be on the watch for traffic. You can read about the pedestrian law here
There is a private dock nearby so you may see some people in the area occasionally.
