Geocache Description:

Girl Scout Junior Troop 1317 placed this cache while earning their Bronze Award. This location has an interesting history dating back to the mid 1800s. Numerous underwater springs found here once served as the water supply for the City of Staunton. Fun Fact: traveling groups of gypsies were drawn to the springs which were the result of the Pulaski-Staunton fault line. This is how the popular park became known as Gypsy Hill Park. Each spring's current location can be recognized by it's hexagonal raised platform. Happy hunting! And remember to "Leave No Trace." Bring your own pen (BYOP).
