One of the ancient Hawthorns beside the road leading up to Drumlanrig Castle’s Queen’s Avenue. Nearby is the start of the Burnmouth Walk which follows the River Nith upstream towards the Burnmouth farmstead. Super little old tree of knarled bark and branches with lots of moss growing on it.
Because it’s a few metres off the road, wheelchair users might find this difficult unless the ground is particularly dry. Please replace exactly as found.
