Gillies Bay Airport (CYGB) was originally built to service the various mines and quarries here, and is now a public airport since 1979. It has a 3000 foot runway, but it's pretty quiet most of the time, just a handful of private pilots coming and going, and one commercial carrier. For being the biggest of the Gulf Islands, Texada has only a handful of caches, so I figured it needs to have an Airport TB Hotel for geocachers who happen to be flying here. (or taking the ferry and exploring the island).
Thanks to Bad_Bunny_Bites_You for helping choose the final location and verify coordinates. Cache is a sandwich-sized camo'ed lock & lock. Left a TB for the lucky FTF.

UPDATE - Cache location moved 25m to the north-west due to original site being disturbed by heavy equipment. New location should be more resilient.
