Can't see the wood for the MAPLE tree!
This cache is part of the series 'Can't see the wood for the trees'. It tests your knowledge of the trees and shrubbery of the British woodlands and also enables you to help your child's education too, if you decide to bring them out for the day geocaching.

Acer is a genus of trees and shrubs commonly known as maple. The genus is placed in the family Sapindacae. There are approximately 128 species, most of which are native to Asia, with a number also appearing in Europe, northern Africa, and North America. Only one species, Acer laurinum, extends to the Southern Hemisphere. The type species of the genus is the sycamore maple, Acer pesudoplatanus, the most common maple species in Europe. The maples have easily recognizable palmate leaves and distinctive winged fruits. The closest relatives of the maples are the horse chestnuts.

I like my caches to be found, and I am always happy to help you find / solve them, but, the rules of geocaching are:
1. Find the cache.
2. Sign the logsheet and log it online to say that you found it.
Any online logs without a signed log sheet will result in online logs being deleted.
3. Return the cache exactly as you found it. DO NOT TAKE IT HOME.
