Calhoun Falls, SC has been designated the Gateway to Lake Russell. In the town limits is located "Blue Hole" Recreation area with picnic shelters, fishing pier, boat ramp, swimming area, canoe launch, and grandstand pavillion for concerts. The facility is equipped with running water and restroom facilities.
This is one of 3 caches placed in Blue Hole area for the 2018 Blue Hole Paddle Caching event. Locations were chosen to draw attention to certain areas of interest, yet being as muggle proof as possible.
After a short walk from the parking area you will find an ideal spot for catching bass at Lake Russell. Be sure to have your SC fishing license. Cache large enough to hold small trade items. Be careful of muggles in warmer weather.
