Near Placerville, ID at a quaint campground on FS Rd. 615-C at Alder Creek Rd. summit. Don't take your Mercedes on this road but a pickup or SUV can make it just fine. If you are going to camp, remember to keep an eye out for black bears. They aren't a problem but don't let the kiddies or small animals run loose... just to be safe.
