This may be the smallest Onondaga County Park, but it has some very impresive trees and provides public access to the lakeshore, with nice views, nice breezes and nice fishing spots! There is a small parking area (big enough for four cars) along the side of Otisco Valley Road towards the north end of the park. This is a nano cache and a qualifying cache for our 'Parks in Onondaga County' Challenge (GC19EYC).
By way of history, Mama Bear placed a cache in this park in April 2005 (GCNFGE) - we found it and included it as part of our 'Parks In Onondaga County' Challenge (GC19EYC) in 2008. Alas, Mama Bear's cache was archived in November 2012, but the TheDavey placed a cache (GC42QYQ) in the park in December 2012, so the park wasn't off line for long. That cache was archived in June 2016, leaving a hole in our Parks Challenge. We allowed a nearby cache to qualify for the challenge while hoping someone would place a cache in this park (it is worth a visit), but after two years we decided it was time for us to be that someone! Enjoy the park and the cache, and we hope you'll go for the Parks Challenge.
