Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, was an English film actor, filmmaker and composer well known for his work in the era of silent film.
Close to the Cache location is an interesting memorial to the man himself which has recently been renovated following a campaign to get the work undertaken.
Chaplin was not from Cheltenham, but is bellieved to have once appeared at the Everyman Theatre in Regent Street.
