This year after the Advanced Placement Calculus test, my students studied a unit on cryptology, ciphers, and puzzle solving. Students researched the history of different ciphers, encrypted and decrypted by pencil/paper and the internet. Of course solving geocache puzzle caches was the final project of the unit. The culminating activity was to hide a geocache as a class and develop a puzzle for the whole world to solve. So here is what AP Calculus Period 3 of the graduating class of 2018 created for their puzzle:
