We (GSME troop 2289) were interested in earning our geocaching badge and one of our leaders (RossFamilyCachers) was happy to help. We have learned about different containers, CITO, trackables, and how to play. We have learned about SWAG and made some glass beads to include in this cache. We went to nearby Hinkley Park to find some geocaches there, and also found The Bird is the Word geocache (GC7CA2T). Now we are placing a geocache to complete our badge. We are placing our geocache in the parking lot of a church. We wrote a letter to the church's home committee asking permission to put our geocache here and they happily gave us permission. Geocaching is awesome and we can't wait to go geocaching with our families!
This should be a fairly easy and accessible cache. You are looking for something made to look like a home made for a small animal. It is painted a color that is similar to boxes of Thin Mints. We have included plenty of SWAG to start with, including the glass beads that we made. You will also find a large log book, please leave us a note as we hope to check this regularly to see if people are enjoying our geocache. While it is OK to go on the grass, please be careful not to step in the nearby garden bed.
Good Luck and Happy Caching!
