👏Congratulations to Buckshaw Cowboys on FTF👏 You are looking for a magnetic nano cache. Tweezers are recommended to retrieve the log. BYOP. Gatley is a busy little village so stealth required. This cache is located on the edge of Gatley Green. Gatley Green is a peaceful spot in the centre of Gatley village and is where Gatley's Contemplation Sculpture can be found. The idea for the sculpture was sparked by the anniversary commemorations held for the start of World War 1 when, in 2014, the people of Gatley posted memories of each of their Gatley men who perished in World War 1. The carved sculpture marks this more permanently, and it considers all those past and, sadly, present, conflicts which have affected so many. The sculpture connects with the memorial already present to remind us of all those who have given their lives since then – soldiers and civilians alike. Gatley village offers an abundance of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants and there is a play park and skate ramp for children. There is a free car park just behind Gatley Hill House and one in the centre of the village. If you fancy a stroll you might want to combine this cache with our 'Scholes Park' and 'Lovely Day for a stroll around the Carrs' series.
