I go to Lovers Leap State Park often for a quick hike and lunch. Has a 1895 Berlin Iron Bridge, one of five remaining in Connecticut and the field stone remains of the Silex Factory. This park is full of history. Tradition has it, that the Pootatuck Indian Chief Waramaug’s daughter, Princess Lillinonah, and her lover plunged to their deaths hence "Lovers Leap", sad and can see why, very high cliffs where below the Housatonic River enters into Lake Lillinonah. Hope you enjoy the views and history. One of my favorite parks in the area. This is my first cache hide with the assistance of CT A-Team. Enjoy!
