Within Harry Potter, the Forbidden Forest borders the edges of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry grounds. There are many creatures, some dangerous, and some friendly. One of these creatures is the Thestral, a type of winged horse with reptilian features. These creatures are considered dangerous and only experienced wizards should try to handle.
This geocache was placed with permission from Jackie Scharfenberg of the WI DNR in conjunction with the 2018 Cache Quest. A WI state park daily parking pass or annual sticker is required for entrance. Parking can be found at the New Fane Trailhead and the geocache is off the green trail.
