GEOCACHING NIGHT IN EDMONTON
EMPTY NET
Usually in about the last two minutes of a hockey game, if a team is down by a goal or maybe two, they will often pull their goalie, leaving the net empty, so they can play with an extra attacker, in order to have a better chance of scoring to either tie the game or get within one goal.
When I was young, the big hockey game was always on TV on Saturday night starting at 6 pm right after the Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner show. Hockey Night in Canada was a part of our country and this is definitely a hockey town so why not put out a geoart series to celebrate our love for hockey!! Each cache represents a different letter of the alphabet or one of the numbers from 0 to 10. For some of the letters/numbers there were a bunch of hockey terms to pick from so sometimes it wasn’t an easy choice but I tried to pick some of the more interesting ones. Most of these caches are in the Belgravia, McKernan and Windsor neigbourhoods and also Mayfair Park but there are a few outliers as well. Good luck finding the caches and have fun!!
This cache is a 2 stage multi cache and the final stage is somewhere in Mayfair Park.
A special thanks to PSCM for all of his generous help on stage 1 of this multi-cache!!!
