Please do not replace this cache on the church wall as it was reported to a local reviewer who informed me, due to the age of the wall geocaches are not to be placed in or on it. You can do this cache as a drive-by or as part of the Cley Hill 360 trail.
Enjoy : -)
| Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, the journey or location, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or "copy and paste" logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log. |
St Mary's, Temple
St. Mary’s is a “chapel of ease” built in the late perpendicular style by the Barton Trust and funded by Mary Barton in memory of her husband and son. The first service was held in 1903. Services have followed the Book of Common Prayer on a regular basis but now have a new pattern. Until recently an active and dedicated group of volunteers from the congregation have kept the church clean, polished brass, arranged flowers, maintained the grounds and carried out minor building maintenance but it has now been passed to the care of ‘Friends of Friendless Churches’ who will permit some services to be held during the year. The regular Matins Service has now returned to the Parish Church of St.Margaret of Antioch.
Accessibility
The cache is neither wheelchair, or pushchair accessible unfortunately.
