Nine months ago, I walked into a cemetery for the sixth time in as many months, trying to get my grandmother’s marker fixed. I was not a happy camper. Susquehannock State Forest derives its name from the Susquehannock tribe that once inhabited the region. It comprises 265,000 acres in: Potter County Clinton County McKean County The forest grows some of the most productive stands of black cherry trees in the world, and is one of eight state forests located in the Pennsylvania Wilds region.
