Petronas Twin Towers
They were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until Taipei 101 overtook it and remained the tallest twin towers in the world.
The Petronas Twin Towers was planned and designed by world renowned architects Cesar Pelli, Deejay Cerico, J.C. Guinto and Dominic Saibo. The construction of this building started in the year 1993 and the contract stipulated that the structure had to be completed within six years’ time i.e. by 1999.

Apart from being an iconic tourist attraction, the tower is also a commercial hub, housing some of the world’s top companies such as Petronas the National Oil Company (the main occupant), Accenture, Al Jazeera English, Carigali Hess Bloomberg, Boeing, IBM, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Microsoft and Reuters to name a few. Today it is not just an architectural marvel but also a great tourist spot.

1. The tower represents the courage, culture and advancement of the people of Malaysia.
2. The two towers along with the bridge aims at resembling the ‘M’ of Malaysia.
3. The observation desk on the 86th floor gives you an aerial view of the city.
4. The skybridge on the 42nd and 43rd floors are also the world’s highest skybridge which connects the two towers. The skybridge was designed as a Fire Escape, allowing occupants to move to the other tower in case of a fire alarm.
5. The building which is 452m high (including the spire on top) has 88 floors.
6. The building received the prestigious Aga Khan award for its special architecture in the year 2004.
7. When seen from the top, the tower resembles the eight point star which in Islam stand for unity, harmony, stability, and rationality.
8. The Twin Towers was built on a former horse racing track at a cost of US $ 1.8 billion.
9. The tower is open on Tuesdays to Sundays from 9.00am to 9.00pm and closed during prayer times on Fridays from 1.00pm to 2.30pm.
10. The towers have 10 double decker lifts in each tower. The double deck lifts can reach speeds of 20 feet (6.1 m) per second.

When you are at the published coordinates, look at the Petrosains Info-board regarding "The 'Octane" in octane number". UPDATE : The aim of this instruction is to position you for the next task. Look beyond the Info-board and you will a Big fat "Tree" . UPDATE : Look straight ahead without turning your head. Big TREE No 1 is the first one you see ahead without changing your line of sight. The geocache is hidden underneath the Fourth (4th) Big fat Tree. As the cache is located in a public area. Please practice stealth when retrieving and replacing it. Watch out for the muggles.
